Dina Mistry has been a personal trainer since 2000. Her passion for fitness started back in high school being a member of the track and field team. This passion was further fueled while attending Texas Woman's University, where Dina majored in the study of kinesiology and nutrition. Dina gained valuable practical experience by working with the senior population teaching Silver Fins and Silver Sneakers classes and as a physical therapy technician while in college. Dina is also active in the community having assisted the local high school football team during summer workouts to help the athletes attain their target weight for the football season.
After tearing her ACL in college, Dina got first-hand experience on how to incorporate fitness into a comprehensive rehabilitation program. After recovering from her injury, Dina went on to run marathons and duathlons!
After graduating, Dina worked with a reputable orthopedic surgeon as an orthopedic assistant where she assisted in surgeries and clinics. This position allowed Dina to experience a full spectrum of the rehabilitation process starting with an injury to surgery, to post-surgery rehabilitation and finally getting back into shape.
In addition to her Bachelors of Science degree at TWU, Dina has also obtained a Masters in Public Health from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. In addition to medical office setting, Dina has also held multiple positions in the corporate sector specializing in fitness and wellness.
Dina understands how difficult it is to get back into shape whether it be post injury or due to a chronic condition and is dedicated to help you attain your fitness goal in a realistic, attainable and healthy manner!
